A 20-year-old Louisville man, Jaquan De’Andre Davis, has been charged in a shooting that seriously injured his father, Richard Allen “Boo” Davis. The incident occurred Sunday, Dec. 31, at Boo Davis’ home in Louisville.
Jefferson County deputies arrested Jaquan Davis the next day, Monday, Jan. 1, about 2:10 a.m. He has been charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, criminal attempt to commit a felony murder and possession of a firearm by convicted felon or felony first offender.
Jefferson County Chief Deputy Col. Clark Hiebert said there will be additional charges filed against Jaquan Davis.
“The victim is home and doing fairly well,” Hiebert said. “He is walking and talking and taking care of himself. He’s got to go back for a checkup.”
Hiebert would not comment on any details in the case as the investigation is ongoing.
“A lot of the details are pending from the crime lab,” he said. “It could take three to four weeks for the results.”
