Glascock man charged in altercation

On Wednesday, Jan. 3, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding an individual shooting a firearm at another individual on Highway 80 in Glascock County near Stapleton.
Glascock County deputies responded and determined Hubert Lambert, 61, was shooting a firearm at Ronald Harris, 38, at Lambert’s residence.
At approximately 4:35 p.m., Glascock County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the GBI Region 7 Office regarding the aggravated assault investigation.
About 9 p.m., Lambert was arrested and taken to the McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center in Thomson.
He has been charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated assault. No one sustained any injuries.
