JEFFERSON COUNTY DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAX SALE
Under and by virtue of certain tax Fi. Fa.’s issued by the Tax Commissioner of Jefferson County, Georgia, in favor of the State of Georgia and County of Jefferson County, against the following named persons and the property as described next to their respective name(s). There will be sold for cash or certified funds at public outcry, before the Courthouse door in Louisville, Jefferson County, Georgia, between the legal hours of sale, on the first Tuesday in March, 2015, the same being March 3rd, 2015, and continuing on March 4th, 2015, if necessary between the legal hours of sale, 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The below listed and described properties, or as much thereof as will satisfy the State and County tax execution on the respective individual and property. The property (ies) hereinafter described have been levied on as the property of the persons whose names immediately precede the property description. Each of the respective parcels of property are located in Jefferson County, State of Georgia. The years for which said Fi. Fa.’s are issued and levied are stated opposite the name of the owner in each case. Each defendant and tenant in possession, if applicable, has been notified of levy time and place of sale. GEORGIA GLASCOCK COUNTY PRESENTMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE FEBRUARY 2014 TERM OF THE GRAND JURY We, the members of the Glascock County Grand Jury for the February Term 2015, having been duly sworn in on February 17, 2015, in open court by Judge Roger W. Dunaway, Jr., do herewith submit the following: We would like to thank the Honorable Roger W. Dunaway, Jr. for his excellent charge to the jurors. We would also like to thank District Attorney Dennis Sanders and Assistant District Attorney Kevin Majeska for directing and advising in matters of law and Sheriff Dean Couch for his faithful attendance at the Superior Court of Glascock County and others for their assistance during deliberations. We, the Grand Jury appointed Tracy M. Miller as foreperson, Crystal Ann Norris as clerk, and Jeremy Kelley and Mary Ann Dixon as Bailiffs. We, the Grand Jury, have received the sworn receipts and disbursements from the Court of Probate, Clerk of Court, Sheriff’s Office and the County Treasurer. We have examined the same and have found them to be correct and hereby endorse our approval. We recommend that our Commissioners make efforts to place gravel on all dirt roads. This would be significant improvement particularly during inclement weather. COUNTY COMMISSIONERS: We, the committee inspecting the County Commissioner’s Office find the office to be neat and in order. We recommend a larger office with more space and more room for storing evidence. We also fin that the bathrooms need to be updated and handicap accessible. This Grand Jury observed the water in the Sheriff’s office. We were told that the discoloration was due to the age of the pipes. We feel that the water is unsafe to drink and recommend that the Commissioners make the necessary repairs and/or alternatives to insure the the office and visitors have clean drinking water.
