Carver Elementary School will present a Daddy/Daughter dance on Friday, Feb. 16, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the school. Tickets are $20 for a father and daughter, $5 per additional daughter.

Prenatal education fair
Project Cradle Care will hold a prenatal education fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Ships For Youth building at 1206 Shannon Blvd., Louisville. The state health department will make a presentation and other health Information will be available. Food will be served; and, there will be giveaways. There is no cost to attend.

It’s the time of the year that the Louisville Food Pantry reaches out to the community for their support for the holiday food items. Beginning Dec. 12 -21. The pantry is closed the week of the holiday to give its volunteers time with their families. Vero Health to hold drill
Vero Health and Rehab of Wadley will be participating in a simulated full scale emergency event on Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. An actual 911 call will be placed for this exercise. This is not a real disaster, only an exercise to see how well the company communicates and responds to a potential disaster. Vero thanks the City of Wadley, Jefferson County Sheriff’s department and Jefferson County EMA for assisting with this exercise.

Dixie Youth Fall Ball signup
Wrens Dixie Youth Baseball Fall Ball signup will be Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Dixie Youth Field in Wrens. Softball and T-ball registration will be at the North Jefferson Family Y. Registration fees are $40 for T-ball (ages 3 to 6) and baseball (ages 7-12) and softball (ages 7-12). Registration includes players’ shirt and hat.
