Art guild offers thanks
The Arts Guild of Jefferson County would like to thank everyone who came out on that rainy Friday night, the 19th, to enjoy our 10th anniversary Spring Exhibit in Downtown Louisville. The rain didnít dampen the spirit of the event. The art work was in three venues, and the exhibit was outstanding with many creative pieces in all mediums. Jefferson County has many talented artists living here. Itís delightful when The Arts Guild can exhibit that creative talent.
The streetscape was finished right on time for the show, and it was a treat to walk on new walkways and see the finished product. Our thanks to the mayor, Larry Morgan, and the city administrator, Ricky Sapp, and all of the city workers for their help in making the downtown beautiful for the exhibit.
WPEH and The News and Farmer, Jefferson Reporter are always our biggest fans in promoting these events. Your coverage of the Spring Exhibit helped get the word out and allow us to have a successful exhibit.
The Fire House Gallery, Margaret and Bill Newberry, and Bonnie and Gene Davis all donated gallery space to house this event. Several businesses, Twisted Sisters, W.B. Millerís Hardware, and the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce donated supplies, refreshments, technical and administrative support. The Louisville Garden Club and Randiís Flowers furnished the flowers. Thanks to the Louisville Police Department for their support and assistance.
The success of the Arts Guild Exhibit is due to the creative talents of the areaís artists. It takes all members of the Arts Guild to plan and have these eventsÖ.a special thanks to all of you. Art is for everyone and the community demonstrates this when they attend and enjoy events such as the 2013 Spring Exhibit. The Arts Guild thanks you for your support.
