Mrs. Mary Pearce Andrews
Mrs. Mary Pearce Andrews, 95, of Deepstep entered into rest on Saturday, April 27, 2013, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Andrews was a native of East Bernstadt, Ky., the daughter of the late Charles Allen Pearce and the late Elizabeth Templin Pearce. Mrs. Andrews was a retired seamstress with the J.P. Stephens Company and a former employee of Royal Manufacturing Company. She was a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church and a former church secretary.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at May and Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Sandersville, with Rev. Jimmy Harris and Rev. Larry Giles officiating. Burial was in Washington County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Felson Andrews.
Survivors include her children, Pearce Nathan “Shorty” Andrews (Joyce) of Conyers, Phyllis Andrews Carpenter (John David) of Deepstep, Uldena Andrews Denton (Al) of Deepstep, Allen Lee Andrews (Kyla) of Deepstep; 11 grandchildren, Allison Andrews, John David Carpenter, Candis C. Lanier, Andrea D. Aikman, DeAnne D. Lindsey, Travis Andrews, Christy A. Abbott, Jeannie A. Prosser, Tiffany A. Palmer, Cale Veal and Shauna Johnson; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Travis Andrews, J. D. Carpenter, Darrell Lanier, Andy Pearce, Mike Abbott, Chris Palmer, Brandon Lindsey and Ric Aikman.
Honorary pallbearers were Richard Veal, Felson Bowman, Jimmy Andrews, Larry Avant, Leonard Hart and David Lanthrip.
The family suggests donations be made to the Smyrna Baptist Church and designate it to the Trees of Hope Sawmill Ministry, in care of Deborah Bassaloff, 106 Veal Road, Sandersville, GA 31082.
May and Smith Funeral Directors were in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Agnes Lucille Irby Holley
Mrs. Agnes Lucille Irby Holley, 81, of Stapleton entered into rest on Monday, April 29, 2013, at Brentwood Nursing Home, Waynesboro.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Keysville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Keysville, with Rev. Randy Monck officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the graveside services from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2013, at James Funeral Home.
One of seven children born to the late Lula Thompson and Seth Irby, Mrs. Holley grew up in Jefferson County and has always lived in the CSRA area. She was active in the churches she attended.
Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Holley; six siblings, Mary Farthing, Beulah Mae Barrow, Ruth Irby, Sam Irby, Fred Irby and Albert Irby.
Survivors include her three sons, Franklin Edward Holley (Susan), Carlton Lee Holley (Keri) and Larry Eugene Holley (Regina); one sister, Martha Murray; two grandsons, Frank Holley Jr. and Brock Holley; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be John Anderson, Edward Barrow, Robert Barrow and Frank Holley Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to James Funeral Home, PO Box 588, Wrens, GA 30833.

Mr. Wayne A. Neal
Mr. Wayne A. Neal, 32, of Stapleton entered into rest on April 26, 2013.
Mr. Neal grew up in Augusta, and lived in Glascock County for many years. He was a truck driver for Lamb Brothers. Mr. Neal attended Bethel Baptist Church, Thomson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2013, at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Tim Ferrell officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Church Cemetery, Gibson.
Survivors include his daughter, Paisley Danielle Neal; fiance’, Serena Danielle Davis of Stapleton; parents, Roger L. Neal Sr. and Tina S. Neal of Gibson; brother, Roger L. Neal Jr. (Michelle); niece, Bryanna Michelle Neal; nephew, Roger L. Neal III; maternal grandfather, Harold Solomon, all of Thomson; mother-in-law, Dianne “Miss D.” Davis (Josh) of Gibson.
Pallbearers were Roger L. Neal Jr., Roger L. Neal III, Colin Todd, Will Odum, Josh Davis and Ron Harris.
