Mr. Peter Charles Barile
Mr. Peter Charles Barile, 65, of Louisville entered into rest on April 22, 2012.
Mr. Barile was born June 19, 1946, in Miami, Fla., to Doris Saddig Heck. He was a graduate of North Miami High School Class of 1964. He joined the Air Force in 1965 where he served some time in Korea, later through the Air Force Reserves he served in Germany during Desert Shield in 1991. Mr. Barile graduated from Florida State University in 1973. After college, he settled in Atlanta area working as an analyst and IT specialist with Federal Medicare/Medicaid program. He retired from the federal government on Dec. 31, 2009. He married his wife, the late Marcia Ann Barile, on June 19, 1987. She passed in May 2011. He was a FSU Alumni and a supporter of the St Joseph’s Indian School in South Dakota. He had also been chosen to work as a volunteer at Muir Woods in California this summer. He was a Christian who reconfirmed Jesus in his life in 2007.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012, at Church of the Apostles, Atlanta. Interment was in Canton National Cemetery at 2 p.m. on April 30, 2012, with full Military honors.
He was preceded in death by his wife; and father, Arthur Heck.
Survivors include his mother; three stepchildren; Mathew Travis Barile of Smyrna, Steven Thomas Beck of Sausalito, Calif., and Carl Jay Beck Jr. of Commerce; three grandchildren, Wiley Barile, Beckham Barile and Tucker Barile; one sister, Sally Marinello of Boca Raton, Fla.; two brothers, Bill Heck of Boca Raton, Fla., and Bob Heck of Plantation, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews, Amy Flagler, Tessa Marinello, John Marinello, Raymond Heck and Jennifer Heck.

Mr. Mitchell Lee Guest, 59, of Gibson entered into rest on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Augusta Hills Acute Care.
Mr. Guest, a native of Jacksonville, Fla., was the son of the late Harry and Dorothy Bryant Guest. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church and a member of the Construction Union.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Scruggs Cemetery, with Rex Gill officiating.
Survivors include his companion, Edna Ledford; two sons, Aaron Mitchell Guest and Quanah Hunter Guest, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; two daughters, Aquilla Rose Guest of Jacksonville, Fla., and Brandy Michelle Kelley, North Augusta, S.C.; one brother, Steven Eugene Guest of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Joy Guest Maryon of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 15 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Billy Wells, Aaron Guest, Quanah Guest, Roki Edwards, Nick Kelly and Aaron Irons.

Mr. Willie I. “Bro” Jenkins Sr., 47, of Hephzibah entered into rest on Monday April 23, 2012, at Georgia Health Sciences University, Augusta.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Thompson Springhill AME Church, Matthews, with Rev. Timothy Lewis and Rev. Steven Smith as eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Jenkins, Hephzibah; four sons, Riccardo M. Jenkins, Atlanta, Willie Isaac Jenkins Jr., Richmond County, Tomorris Jenkins, Atlanta, and Brandon Jenkins, Augusta; two daughters, Germekia Jenkins, Augusta, and Chiquita (Bernard) Richardson, Augusta; mother, Annie Mary Jenkins, Matthews; two brothers, Eddie Brinson, Matthews, and Melvin Walker, Augusta; two sisters, Barbara Jean Jenkins, Matthews, and Tonya Harris, Augusta; nine grandchildren; four uncles, three aunts, one great-uncle, two great-aunts; daughter-in-law, Temika Sanders, Atlanta; four brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dorothy Reagan Griffin McBride
Mrs. Dorothy Reagan Griffin McBride, 91, of Martinez entered into rest on Thursday, April 26, 2012.
Mrs. McBride was born on Sept. 24, 1920, in Jefferson County to the late Norman L. Sr. and Emmie Cooper Reagan. She was a 1938 graduate of Girard High School and retired from Murray Biscuit Company. She was a Christian and charter member of Miracle Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Thomas Poteet and Son chapel, with Rev. Marion Jay and Rev. John Raborn officiating. Interment followed in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her first husband of 42 years and father of her children, Sidney W. Griffin; second husband of 14 years, Maynard McBride; two brothers, Robert L. Reagan and Norman L. Reagan Jr.; and her great-granddaughter, Haley Baer.
Survivors include her daughter, Henrietta G. Holmes; sons, J. Paul Griffin (Jan), Daniel W. Griffin, Ronald R. Griffin (Sharon), James A. Jim Griffin (Becky) and David A. Griffin; adopted daughter, Norma Skinner (Edward); granddaughters, Pam H. Simpson (Scott), Rhonda Heath (Wayne), Paula Hain, Deborah Steele (David), Denise Coleman (Wilder), Tara Holmes, Brandy Beatrice (Kevin) and Stephanie Baer; adopted granddaughter, Sherree Dzikiewicz; grandsons, Will Holmes (Liz), Danny Griffin, Scott Griffin, Dana Griffin, Anthony Griffin, Todd Holmes, Brian Griffin, Jason Griffin (Lindsey), Christopher Griffin and Walker Griffin; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Ellen Morgan and Carolyn R. Mrs. Helen Gretchel Black Sapp, 71, of Augusta entered into rest on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
Mrs. Sapp was a member of Victory Baptist Church of North Augusta and a past member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She grew up in Glascock County.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012, at James Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed in Gibson Branch Cemetery, Edgehill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Maudei Lamb Black and Joseph T. Black Sr.; son, Clarence H. Gilmer Jr.; and two siblings, Tommy Black and Melvis Gay.
Survivors include her children, James H. Gilmer, Ricky D. Gilmer (Tiffany) and Jeffery T. Gilmer (Karen); two siblings, George Black and Hilda Pellum (Bobby); 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rebecca Kennedy Thompson
Mrs. Rebecca Kennedy Thompson, 72, of Warrenton entered into rest on April 22, 2012.
Mrs. Thompson was a native of Warren County and was the daughter of the late Dorsey Kennedy and the late Margaret Gilmer Kennedy. Mrs. Thompson was retired as a supervisor from Thomson Company, with more than 20 years of service. She was also a member of Little Brier Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Little Brier Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. Thompson.
Survivors include her daughter, Vickie T. Dunham (John); son, Gary Thompson (Melinda), all of Warrenton; grandchildren, Jason Dunham, Jonathan Dunham and Hannah Thompson; brothers, Roger Kennedy of Martinez, Jimmy Kennedy of Watkinsville, and Larry Chalker and Ken Amerson, both of Thomson; sister, Kathy Dupree of Thomson; and stepmother, Ellen Kennedy of Thomson.
