Mr. William Randolph “Pap” Farmer
Mr. William Randolph “Pap” Farmer, 74, of Stapleton entered into rest on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at his residence.
Mr. Farmer was a native of Jefferson County, the son of the late Tom Farmer Sr. and Daisy Jones Farmer. He joined Stone Springfield AME Church at an early age and attended Stone Springfield AME School. He was a farmer and was employed at Georgia Tennessee.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 1 p.m. at Stone Springfield AME Church, Stapleton, with Pastor Rev. Michael Ephraim Sr. presiding and Rev. C.W. Stone officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Stone Farmer of Stapleton; children, Marilyn Claire Farmer, Jerry (Sylvia) Farmer, Teresa Farmer Jackson, Jefford (Gwen) Farmer of Stapleton, Janice (Michael) Allen of Louisville, Jacqueline Farmer of Hinesville, and Melvin (Lavern) Story of Manassas, Va.; sisters and brother, Virginia Davis of Louisville, Tom Farmer Jr. and Rev. Bettye Stephens of Wrens; sisters-n-law, Evella Farmer and Sara Farmer of Wrens, Shirley (Ulysses) Clark, Mamie Murray and Ruby Hatcher of Stapleton; grandchildren, Angel (Elises) Burns, Shamara Allen, Alicia Rivera, Britney Jackson, Shatila Cooper, Elaysia Jackson, Taquila Brown, Sheena Greggs, Khyrie Williams, Tyler Farmer, Michael Allen, Jerry Farmer Jr., Jaquarius Stone and Ronnie Terrell Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Cynthia T. McCoy of Hephzibah entered into rest on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Doctors Hospital.

Survivors include her children, Jaymes M. Beasley-McCoy, LeAnde (John) Avery, Kratrina Dogon, Wesley Dogon, Justin Dogon, Krenea Dogon; grandchildren, Jazmine Avery, NaJae Avery, JaNae Avery; siblings, Daphyne Beasley, Phrycilla Beasley, Mary Beasley, Christine Bealsey, Wanda Beasley and Charles Beasley; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mrs. Lilliam A. Bulford Sessoms, 86, of Wrens were held on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at 3 p.m. at Freeman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. George Tucker Jr.
Mr. George Tucker Jr. of Louisville entered into rest on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at University Hospital, Augusta.
Mr. Tucker was a native of Glascock County, the son of the late George Tucker Sr. and Lue Vinnie Hall Tucker, and the widow of the late Lillie Mae Wilcher Tucker. At an early age he joined the Williams Grove Baptist, and for most of his life, worked as a logger. He was an honorable discharged veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Second Mineral Spring Baptist Church, Hamburg, with Pastor Rev. Robert Smith presiding and Minister Lewis Neal officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include his children, George (Mary Alice) Tucker III of Wrens, Vivian T. Lundy of Louisville, Larry D. Tucker of Augusta, Robert Lewis Tucker, Darrell Lynn Tucker, all of Wrens; stepson, Clifford (Tiffany) Tucker of Wrens; brothers and sisters, Eva Lue Mills, Willie Lue Neal of Mitchell, Jessie Mae Nelson and Willie Elbert Tucker of Warrenton, Willie Mae Lawrence of Sandersville, and Jessie Lee (Inell) Tucker of Sanford, N.C.; grandchildren, Janice Tobie, Glenn Tobie, Jackie Tobie, Glenn Tucker, Lynn Tucker, Leonard Tucker, Shader Barron, Sherrod Tucker, Tabitha (Donnie) Hodges, Lealita Lundy, Shecell Tucker, Ieasha Tucker, Shenell Smith, Larry Jermaine Tucker, Robert Moore, Randy Moore, Mercedes Tucker, Clifford James Tucker, Damian Dixon and Freddrivous Hobbs; 34 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Collins Loyd “C.L.” Usry
Mr. Collins Loyd “C.L.” Usry, 69, entered into rest Wednesday morning, April 13, 2011 at the University Hospital in Augusta GA.
One of nine children born to the late Virginia McGahee Usry and the late Garvin Usry Sr., Mr. Usry was raised in the Wrens-Stapleton area of Jefferson County. He moved to Augusta where he was a crane operator and a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 474. He was an active member of Fleming Baptist Church until his health declined.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 15, 2011, at 11 a.m. at James Funeral Home, with Rev. Wayne Usry officiating. The family had a private committal service in the Westview Cemetery in Thomson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Hinton Usry; brother, Gerald Usry; and his sister, Jody Reese.
Survivors include his children, David Usry (Jeanine) and Donna Usry; three brothers, Garvin Usry Jr. (Edith), Earl Usry, and Wayne Usry (Barbara Ann); three sisters, Velda Hadden, Joann Wren and Jeannine Stevenson (Norman); three grandchildren, Evan Usry, Chris Thompson and Courtney Thompson; and many friends.
