DELINQUENT PROPERTY TAX SALE

Under and by virtue of certain tax Fi Fa’s issued by the Tax Commissioner of Jefferson County, Georgia, in favor of the State of Georgia and County of Jefferson, against the following named persons and the property as described next to their respective name(s). There will be sold for cash or certified funds at public outcry, before the Courthouse door in Louisville, Jefferson County, Georgia, between the legal hours of sale, on the first Tuesday in November, 2011, the same being November, 1, 2011, and continuing on Wednesday, November, 2, 2011, if necessary between the legal hours of sale, 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The below listed and described properties, or as much thereof as will satisfy the State and County tax execution on the respective individual and property. NOTICE OF FORECLOSURE SALE On May 14, 2010 and January 13, 2011, B & B MCNAIR, INC. and BBM INVESTMENTS, LLC executed Notes in favor of FIRST STATE BANK. Said Notes were payable with interest and are now in default. The total amount due of principal & interest in the Notes are $249,036.36 and $20,181.26, respectfully, as of September 23, 2011, plus attorney fees, advanced costs, accrued interest, and other costs of collection. Time was made the essence of the Notes, and the Notes contained provisions for the payment of attorney fees. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS ENGINEERING SERVICES The City of Wadley, in Jefferson County, Georgia, seeks to acquire the services of an engineering firm or individual engineer to provide engineering and design services for its awarded 2011 Community Development Block Grant project. This project will be funded, in part, with federal funds. Responding firms should be technically qualified and licensed to provide the design and inspection services for local, state and federally funded projects. Procedures for selection of an individual/firm will be in accordance with the RFP package and local procurement requirements, as well as the requirements of the Uniform Administration Requirements ("the common rule") 24 CFR Part 85.36 and the Georgia Community Development Block Grant Program Recipients Manual. All Proposals will be evaluated in terms of project approach, timing, experience, quality of work, capacity of performance and cost. Local government experience is desired. Past performances on local government construction projects will be assessed in terms of timeliness, completing work within budget, quality of work and other factors.
