Mr. Sammie Daniel
Mr. Sammie Daniel, 80, of Avera, passed at the Bontana Nursing Center in East Point on Dec. 16, 2007.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Magnolia Baptist Church, Avera, with the Elder LaVelton Daniel, Presiding and Bishop James Daniel, eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Survivors include five sons, Bishop James (Janette) Daniel, New Orleans, La., Dennis Daniel, Tampa, Fla., Sammie Bernard Daniel Jr., Avera, Terry (Cathy) Daniel, Houston, Texas, Harry (Dwana) Daniel, Atlanta; two sisters, Lillie Jerry, Hempstead , N.Y., Roxie Daniel, Wrens; two brothers, Rev. Perry (Lois) Daniel Jr., Avera, Rev. Charles Daniel, Westbury, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Master Lonnie McGraw "Tray" Davis, infant son of Megan Rae Caran and Lonnie Gee "Skip" Davis of Louisville died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, in the Louisville First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Beau Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Louisville City Cemetery.
Tray was preceded in death by a grandfather, Lonnie E. Davis and great-grandfathers G.T. Williams, and John Caran,Sr., and is survived by his mother, Megan Rae Caran of Louisville, father, Lonnie Gee "Skip" Davis of Louisville, maternal grandparents, Nancy and Mitchell McGraw of Louisville, Johnny and Faith Caran of Bartow, paternal grandmother, Cindy Davis of North Augusta, SC, great-grandparents, Virginia Williams of Moxley, Mary Caran of Louisville, Polly Jones of Louisville, Jack McGraw of Louisville, Clara Lamb of Louisville, and George and Paula Stickle of Bartow, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
