Ahmed A. Cason
Spc. Ahmed A. Cason, 24, of Birmingham, Ala., was killed in Iraq on Sunday, April 4, 2004.
Funeral services were April 12 at 11 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Hoover, Ala. Burial was in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Hoover.
Survivors include his wife, Allison Cason of Birmingham; one daughter, Akilaah B. Cason; one son, Gabriel E. Cason; his mother, Alinda Hunt, Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Bobby Cason and Cedrick K. Hunt Jr.; two sisters, Jamelia Hunt and Danita Hunt; his step-father, Cedrick Hunt; maternal grandmother, Mozell Thomas, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Garland and Virlean Fisher, McGhee, Ariz.; and a special uncle, Wendell Hunt, Birmingham; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Jefferson county residents attending the funeral were his uncle, Gary Jones; great aunt, Alice Mae McBride; niece Gabrielle Jones; cousins, Brenda Williams, Eldrick Williams, Leotis (Ethel) McBride and Mary Walker; and a family friend, Sandra Hickson.
Janie "Itty Bitty" Taylor
Mrs. Janie "Itty Bitty" Taylor, 52, of Augusta died Saturday, April 3, 2004.
Mrs. Taylor, a native of Richmond County, was a 1971 graduate of T.W. Josey High School and a nursing assistant.
The funeral was April 10 at noon at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Clarence Brown officiating. Burial was in the Southview Cemetery.
Survivors include her adopted mother, Lillie Mae Martin, Augusta; four sisters, Mattie Hannah, Avera, Rosa Lee House, Elaine Ford and Phillis Perkins, all of Augusta; four brothers, Jack Jenkins, Millen, James Walton Jr., Valdosta, Julian Walton, Minister, John Walton, Augusta; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other relatives.
Williams Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
