Vera Chalker Davis
Mrs. Vera Chalker Davis, 86, of Gibson died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at Gibson Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Davis, a native of Glascock County, was a Methodist.

Graveside services were Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. at Wrens Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Russell Davis officiating.

Survivors include her son, Lynn (Sonya) Davis, Wrens; two grandchildren Mark Davis, Wrens, and Russell (Sheila) Davis, Lincolnton; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cloise Kent, Gibson, and Opal Hammett, Augusta; and one brother, Lindy Chalker, Evans.

Sheppard Funeral Home, Gibson, was in charge of the arrangements.

Burwell Jordan Drew Jr.
Mr. Burwell Jordan Drew Jr., 72, of Midville died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2003, at the VA Medical Center in Augusta.

Mr. Drew, a native of Jenkins County, had lived in Midville most of his life. He had retired from Southern Railroad in 1983 as Railroad Engineer. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of the Midville First Baptist Church.

The funeral was Nov. 20 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Tomlinson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Byrd officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Drew; four sons, Platt Drew, Palatka, Fla., Don Drew, Jody Drew and Doug Drew, all of Midville; two brothers, Edwin Thomas Drew, Midville, and John Drew, Waynesboro; a sister, Ouida Daivs, Louisville; and 17 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Midville First Baptist Church.

Tomlinson Funeral Home, Swainsboro, was in charge of the arrangements.

Elizabeth Usry Faglier
Mrs. Elizabeth Usry Faglier, 72, of Dearing died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003.

Mrs. Faglier, a native of Glascock County, lived in McDuffie County for many years. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Bob" Ganus.

The funeral was Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at James Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Bill Arrington, Eddie Renew and Don Widener officiating. Burial was in Wrens City Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Faglier; one daughter, Patty (Ronnie) Welch, Gibson; two brothers, Donald Usry, Thomson, and Ronald Usry, Augusta; three grandchildren, Tonya Ray, Laura Welch and Ronnie Welch Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Ray and Laney Ray.

Pallbearers were Dwayne Faglier, Troy Faglier, Vernon Faglier, John Carpenter, David Gay and Billy Gay.

James Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

John Wesley Lee Sr.
Rev. John Wesley Lee Sr. of Wadley died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003.

The funeral was Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. at San Clair Baptist Church in Wadley.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby I. Lee; two sons, John W. Lee Jr., Atlanta, and Lommardo Lee, Bridgeport, Conn.; six sisters, Joann Norris, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Pauline Day, Hollywood, Fla., Ruby Woodard Thomas and Betty Seafus, Louisville, and Rosetta Lewis and Kathy Williams, Wadley; three brothers, Craig Woodard, Augusta, Otis Woodard and Charles Woodard, Hollywood, Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Hudson Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
